The OAAC 2022 Conference focuses on advancing the care of people who have extremity amputations.  The organizing committee is looking forward to hosting Occupational Therapists, Physiatrists, Physiotherapists, Prosthetists/Orthotists, Registered Nurses, and other health care providers who are interested in increasing their knowledge on amputee rehabilitation, establish networks, and build Communities of Knowledge which Empower our patients to reach their potential!

Confirmed Speakers

Dr. Robert S. Gailey PhD is confirmed as our keynote speaker. He is a physiotherapist who has published extensively on rehabilitation of people with limb loss. He will also provide an additional education session.

Ontario Association for Amputee Care - Annual General Meeting

The Ontario Association for Amputee Care (OAAC) is a multidisciplinary organization promoting collaborative health care to maximize outcomes for Ontarians living with limb loss. This community of caregivers uses evidence-based practices for the treatment and management of limb loss.  

The Association officially held it’s first meeting in 1977 in Sudbury, Ontario. Membership has grown from the initial 25 to more than 150 active and associate members. Conferences are held bi-annually, hosted by a different local prosthetic groups in Ontario.
